This publication of the Holy Quran was initiated under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with a focus on the format established by Hafs following Asim. These two scholars are renowned for their standardized approaches to the formation, pronunciation, and recitation of the Quran. Tasked with this significant work was calligrapher Jamal Bustan, who infused modern aesthetics into the project through scientific excellence and artistic decoration, resulting in a luxurious printed edition.

In alignment with these directives, two key resolutions were established. The first resolution led to the formation of a higher committee composed of esteemed Quranic reciters from across the Arab world. The second resolution called for the creation of a specialized committee from the Department of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Dubai.

These two committees have been dedicated to overseeing the reading, reviewing, and verification of the calligrapher’s work, ensuring adherence to Ummahatul-Kutub guidelines. Their responsibilities encompass writing conventions, punctuation, types of readings, and interpretations.

The inaugural edition of this Quran was released in 2003 and has been recognized for its exceptional quality in both writing and decoration. This edition underwent meticulous auditing for technical artistry and typography, which contributed to its distinctiveness. Notably, it maintains textual integrity and has been carefully scrutinized for accuracy in writing and presentation.

Subsequently, additional editions have been produced in various sizes, all under rigorous scientific oversight, reinforcing the commitment to quality and authenticity in Quranic publication.
